Be accountable to the members through meetings and the annual election of a Board of Directors.

The NELSON SENIORS CENTRE is conveniently located at 717 Vernon (building next to the Civic Theatre). The Centre is our members’ living room away from home to meet and socialize with others and enjoy our activities.
Our 2025 active membership is 276. These members enjoy using the Centre’s many activities at least once a week and more by some members.

The Centre is an alcohol-free venue and is available to rent to Members for their special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, meetings, etc. If you are interested and require more information, please contact nelsonseniorscentre@gmail.com.
NELSON SENIORS CENTRE ACTIVITIES
All-activity memberships are available for $20 annually and we take new memberships throughout the year. Most of our activities are drop-in and cost $1 or $2 per time. Visit when you can.
If you are interested in any of our activities, you can get more information by sending an email to nelsonseniorscentre@gmail.com with your activity/activities selected. Alternatively, you can arrive 15 minutes early for any drop-in activity and a member will help you join in. You are able to try out the activity/activities beforehand on a 3-visit trial before paying for a membership.
Bridge, Free Dance, Glacier Harmonies and Private are not drop-in and have different requirements (email nelsonseniorscentre@gmail.com for information). Sunday Crib is drop in but requires a partner to play.
If you have a suggestion for a new activity or social event, please email us and we will contact our membership to see if they are interested.
At home our Members also enjoy novels and jigsaw puzzles borrowed from our extensive stock.
