NELSON SENIORS CENTRE
Nelson, British Columbia, Canada
The Centre is the fun activity hub for Seniors 50+ but adults of all ages can become members to enjoy our activities. Membership entitles you to all our drop-in activities and take-home novels from our extensive library and numerous jigsaw puzzles. We service the City of Nelson and outlying districts and are a volunteer-run, Community Service Society. Our vision for all members is to promote companionship in an inclusive, caring, supportive, and safe environment.
The NELSON SENIORS CENTRE is conveniently located at 717 Vernon (building next to the Civic Theatre).
Our 2025 active membership is 300. These members enjoy using the Centre’s many activities at least once a week and more by many members.
All-activity memberships are available since July 1 at $10 until December 31 (usually $20 annually) and we take new memberships throughout the year. A three-visit trial period is available to try out some activities before becoming a new member. Most of our activities are drop-in and cost $1 or $2 per time. Visit when you can. Bridge, Free Dance, Glacier Harmonies, and Private Events have different requirements (email nelsonseniorscentre@gmail.com for information).
The Centre is an alcohol-free venue and is available to rent to Members for their special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, meetings, etc. If you are interested and require information, please contact nelsonseniorscentre@gmail.com.
